Vintage West German Modernist Tree of Life Pendant – Frosted Clear

A striking piece of vintage West German design, this new old stock pendant features a deeply molded stylized tree or abstract botanical motif with a distinctly mid-century modern look.

The translucent plastic has a frosted, almost sea-glass finish that softens the light while emphasizing the dimensional design. Its irregular organic outline contrasts with the structured stacked branches, giving the pendant a wonderfully graphic 1960s–70s feel.

Made in West Germany and dating from approximately the late 1960s–1970s, this unused  component has an integrated loop at the top for easy use in necklaces and statement jewelry.

At approximately 40 x 52mm — about 1.5 x 2 inches — it’s large enough to serve as the centerpiece of a long pendant necklace while remaining lightweight thanks to the molded plastic construction. Pair it with vintage Lucite, smoky or clear glass, wood, or simple metal findings and let the sculptural design do the work.
